As the team is new and under development, we are looking for new employees who want to help shape our operations and actively contribute to developing and testing new working methods together with us at Family Team 13-21!
Your tasks
As a Family Therapist with us, you will have a meaningful role in direct work with young people and their families where you can truly make a difference. The target group is young people aged 13-21 and their families who need support in various areas such as risk/addiction, school/employment, mental health, and norm-breaking behavior. The work involves meeting families in situations where the goal is to avoid placement or create good conditions for returning home after placement.
You will also work closely with schools, police, psychiatry, and other important actors to create coordinated efforts. You actively work to strengthen young people's motivation, build relationships, and understand their needs. In many assignments, you work in pairs to achieve the best results together!
With us at Family Team 13-21, you will work days, evenings, and weekends, where your work involves a lot of fieldwork, meeting young people where they are – in cafes, on walks, or other places where relationships can be built.
In your work, you need to be creative and persistent to find new ways forward. In this role, you will have the opportunity to meet, support, and empower young people and their families based on their needs and conditions for a more functional life.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is a social worker, social pedagogue, or has another relevant post-secondary education in social work that the employer assesses as equivalent. We see that you have experience working with children, young people, and their families within social services, for example, from family teams, service delivery, investigations, or treatment efforts.
As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness, distinguishing between the personal and professional. You are skilled at building trusting relationships with those you meet and enjoy working in a team. You actively contribute to group processes and a good working environment.
You have a good ability to work even in a fast-paced environment in families' and young people's home environments and other everyday settings, and you are accustomed to flexible and practically oriented working methods. You have a good understanding of risk and protective factors for children and young people and are comfortable collaborating with various actors both within and outside your own organization.
Furthermore, you take independent responsibility for structuring your tasks effectively, being flexible, and always wanting to be part of the solution!
To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are motivational in your work and inspire the individuals you meet to achieve their goals and purposes. Since communication is central to the role, we see that you communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, but we also view it positively if you speak additional languages.
Upon potential employment, you will need to provide a criminal record extract. A B driver's license is a requirement.
